HOT NEWS - APRIL MEETING

Our project was Spring – A Renewal of Life.  Lots of great examples from daffodil beads by Tiger to hummingbird and flower sculptures that go into a plant pot.  Nolly Gelsinger has demonstrated how to make the cutest walrus bead.  Be sure to check out our Facebook page for photos from the meeting.

Glass Stock East classes are being listed on their website (
http://glassstock.com/glass-stock-east-2016) and it’s looking real interesting and fun.  Two of our members are teaching classes – Julie Delaney and Tracey Alfaro.  It was also announced that Lewis Wilson and Barbara Svetlock are coming to The Glass Resort in September.  Check out the website (www.theglassresort.com) for the two day event and the cost.

Most viking knit tutorials have you start by creating a "flower" design with wire then taping it to a wooden dowel to be used as your starting point for the viking knit.  Below are two photos which are alernatives.  One is using a snap anchored to the dowel; the other is using a metal bead cone anchored to the dowel as well.  The viking knit would be started right from the holes in each example.
